This past Friday I had the pleasure to attend Crescendoh's Launch Party and meet some fabulous creative women! I was touched and inspired by all the "Art Saves" stories that were told! On Sunday I went shopping at my favorite lil' store in Fullerton "Gilding the Lily" and picked up some amazing vintage pieces to create with! :) Lonnie Jenck from "My Farm Girl Life" was teaching a class at GTL...and Wow...her stuff is amazing! :) If you ever get a chance to visit GTL Nancy the owner and Dede the Class Manager are a treasure to meet! :)
Just a little peek at some treasures soon to be listed in My Etsy store! :) (If I can figure out how to resize, crop,..etc. my images..etsy is saying they are too large! I warned you I was not computer savvy! :) lol.....Any pointers you can shoot my way would be fabulous!) Thanks and have a Charming weekend!! xo ~Nancy
I found a new slice of heaven last Saturday @ GTL's Metal & Mosaic Cuff class taught by Cindy Gonzales ( Such a talented lady). Gilding the Lily is located in downtown Fullerton and is owned by the sweetest lady who I share my name with "Nancy"! :) I was able to meet & create with some amazing women; Melissa, Helene, Terri, Jeanette, Marbi, Denise & last but not least Dede Warren the Class Manager. Dede really made the class a joy! We shared, we laughed, we created..I was in HEAVEN!!!!
Majority of the women create for fun and do not sell...and as you know I'm about to take that leap of faith and sell my creations on my etsy store next week. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I was meant to be surrounded by these fabulous women and learn! With that being said...I don't want to make mass productions and stress myself out with time lines...it seems to take away the fun of creating. If I didn't have a full-time job....believe me I would just be creating, learning new techniques and treasure hunting for fabulous vintage jewels all day!!! :) But, for now ...my lil' etsy store will open and it may only have 10 items @ a time because I will always stop to enjoy my slice of heaven!!! xoxo
